Perfect Binding
The page block is stacked, the spine edge is ground and roughened, then glued directly into a wraparound card cover. It is the standard paperback binding and what most print-on-demand paperbacks use.
Advantages

Limitations
- Does not lie flat
- Very thin books (under ~24–32 pages) cannot hold a spine
- Hot-melt glue can crack in cold or with heavy use
