About Editora Globo
Editora Globo S.A. Portuguese pronunciation: [e.d͡ʒiˈto.ɾɐ ˈɡlo.bu]; lit. 'Globe Publishing Company') is a Brazilian publishing house, property of Fundação Roberto Marinho. It began as a bookstore called Livraria do Globo ([li.vɾaˈɾi.ɐ du ˈɡlo.bu]; lit. 'Bookshop of the Globe'), created in Porto Alegre, in December 1883, by Laudelino Pinheiro de Barcellos and Saturnino Alves Pinto.

Approaching Editora Globo as an author
Large trade publishers generally accept manuscripts only through literary agents, while many independent and small presses accept direct submissions during reading periods. Before submitting anywhere, read the publisher's current guidelines, study recent books on its list, and never pay a reading or publishing fee to a traditional publisher.
