Horse Stable
Unknown artist, early 1500s.

Using it on a cover
The print file prints up to 11.3 x 5.1 in at 300 ppi — fine for smaller trims or inset artwork, but too small to fill a 6 x 9 in cover at 300 ppi. Wider than a 6 x 9 cover: crop about 70% of the width, or use it as a wraparound across back and spine.
About the work
Prized horses in stables may be the main theme of the pair of screens of which this screen is a part, but a lot of action is happening on the veranda. Falconry is the focus of this screen, and a lively atmosphere develops in the interplay of the dynamic horses and the birds of prey.
